SLIDING' WALKER'S
You cant fish bottom structure without one.  Originally designed for jetty fishing along the rip rap. It slides on the line, and gives direct contact with the bait or lure and the bottom. It walks up over everything on the bottom. In heavy rocky structure always fish it down stream and walk it into the current. It is almost impossible to lose it. If your fishing live bait you need this walking sinker in your box and on your line. The direct contact will tell you what is on the bottom, how it is laid out and comes back to you each time. If you do not know what is on the bottom, walk thru it first with a Sliding Walker and find out before you throw your lures.

How it looks when rigged for live Bait

Of course you can use any hook style you prefer. We always use trebles for our flounder and trout, for reds we use circle hooks anytime we are able to. You make your leaders to your desired length. We are tieing on anywhere between 12 -18-24 inch leaders for everything from flounder to reds. Tip: use a heavier line on your reel and a lighter line on your leaders. This way you break only the hook off and get your walker back if you do hang it up.
